Alteya Organic Mint Spearmint Essential Oil – Spearmint belongs to the mint family and gets its name from the spear-like shape of its leaves. It has a sweet, minty, and powerful aroma—softer and sweeter than peppermint. This refreshing scent is mainly due to the presence of r-(-)-carvone, a terpenoid compound that, in preliminary studies, has shown promise in counteracting high-fat diets. Spearmint is also recognized for its high antioxidant capacity.
